Consultant
Team Animation, UK
Following a 30 year career as a publisher of business books, Jonathan moved into knowledge management with a seven year stint as knowledge manager at the Major Projects Association, during which he launched the major projects knowledge repository and led the development of the Association's fringe activity programme; events, activities and engagement in the virtual space, to complement the face-to-face knowledge sharing activities. Since going freelance, three years ago, Jonathan has pioneered the use of Human-Centric Data (HCD) in major project delivery, alongside Donnie MacNicol, founder of Team Animation. HCD is a technique that involves capturing and sharing small amounts of data at every progress meeting; visualising and sharing the data back to the project team in near real-time; and using the resulting insights to co-create activities and actions to build performance and resilience within the team and across the project as a whole. Jonathan also regularly coaches and mentors other knowledge and project professionals. He has continued his writing and editing including a short guide: How to Learn Lessons Effectively - New Ways of Sharing Insights, for the Association of Project Management, and Chapter 6: Data Analytics and AI, for the current (8th) edition of the APM's Body of Knowledge.
