With more than two decades of operational responsibility in the areas of knowledge management, information procurement and records management, Andreas Matern has profound experience in handling knowledge and information. Among other things, he managed an archive at one of the world’s leading financial services providers, was working for a trade association for the information and telecommunications industry and has worked as an independent consultant.

Andreas Matern is Managing Director of the Gesellschaft fuer Wissensmanagement e.V. (GfWM), the leading professional association for knowledge management in the German-speaking area.  He is also in charge of organisation and curation of KnowledgeCamp, the annual un-conference of GfWM, as well as GfWMs regional chapter in Berlin-Brandenburg.
