Lorena Rodriguez Bu is the Division Chief for Knowledge and Learning at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), where she leads the Bank’s institutional learning and knowledge-sharing agenda across Latin America and the Caribbean. With over 13 years of experience at the IDB, she has been instrumental in shaping the organization’s knowledge strategies, including the 2012–2015 Knowledge and Learning Strategy, and in developing innovative methodologies for knowledge capture and dissemination—such as peer learning, communities of practice, and policy case studies.
Her earlier roles include Chief of the Client Relations Unit and Specialist in State Modernization, where she managed public sector reform programs in Central America. Her work reflects a deep commitment to strengthening institutional capacity and fostering a culture of continuous learning in development.
She holds a Ph.D. in Administrative Law from the University of Barcelona and a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras.
