Pascal Saura is a Senior Knowledge and Learning Officer at The World Bank and a former Cultural and Education Advisor with the Embassy of France in the United States.

He headed professional development initiatives throughout the English-speaking network of the Alliance Française (AF FRAMES, MERLIN and AllianceEnfance), and created the standard Alliance Française online placement test which, from 2007 to 2020, connected millions of students with French schools around the world.

He served as project manager for the World Bank Group expertise network, SkillFinder, and developed the Knowledge & Learning strategy for the World Bank Water Global Practice. 

Since launching the first-ever online conference hosted by the World Bank in May 2020, he has been actively participating in the global race to boost digital learning and reinvent capacity development for virtual environments.
