Picture of Tanya TorresTanya Torres is a senior knowledge management (KM) specialist with a Master of Library Science (MLS) and a Master of Public Policy (MPP).

She worked at USAID as a Global Knowledge Management Team Lead, leading a team that developed, improved, and supported knowledge management and learning systems and processes, including initiatives to document and share guidance, practices, and resources focused on adaptive management and agile programming in complex political transitions worldwide. Before that, she spent seven years developing knowledge management strategies, managing digitization efforts, and working with librarians in Southeast Asia. She has helped research organizations, development projects, government libraries, and cultural heritage institutions to improve discovery, knowledge sharing, and preservation. Ms. Torres also conducted research with scholars and librarians from several leading Indonesian universities, lectured on information and technology trends, and led workshops and training on digital libraries and repositories. She is currently pursuing a doctorate (D.Inf.Sci) at the University of Maryland.
