Exalead has announced the availability of exalead one:workgroup 4.0, an enterprise search product designed for small businesses with as few as two or more employees, or a specialized division within a larger organization. The new solution is built on the company's unified technology platform--exalead one:search--and offers users a way to access unstructured information no matter where it resides. In addition, Exalead released updates to its desktop search software, exalead one:desktop Professional Edition.
The exalead one:workgroup 4.0 solution is fully integrated with the company's desktop search software, offering businesses a complete information access solution for Microsoft Windows-based server environments. The software's plug-and-play design allows for simple and quick installation with minimal need for customization on behalf of the customer. Additionally, content is automatically classified without the need for dictionaries or taxonomies.
Among the key product highlights are:
• unified search results regardless of where a document resides (PC, Web, server);
• real-time indexing;
• initial support for 32-bit processor Microsoft Windows servers, with future support for 64-bit servers planned;
• advanced query capabilities and linguistics, including spelling suggestion, phonetic and proximity search, fuzzy matching, word stemming, multilanguage search, automatic phrase detection, automatic translation, regular expressions and NEAR operator; and
• visual previews of all search results to quickly determine the relevance of a document or Web page.
