Mark Logic and Stylus Studio partner

Mark Logic and Stylus Studio have formed an alliance that calls for integration of Stylus Studio’s XQuery development environment into Mark Logic’s Content Interaction Server, which the company claims is the first enterprise-class database management system for content. The move is designed to further enhance the XQuery developer environment for deploying content-centric applications in the publishing and media industries.

Stylus Studio provides integrated development environments support for XML and its related technologies, including XSL, XSLT, XPath, XML Schema, DTD, SOAP, WSDL, SQL/XML, XQuery, XHTML, Web services and XML Mapping. Mark Logic says its Content Interaction Server was built to help enterprises analyze, synthesize and enhance business content in Microsoft Word documents, PDF files, e-mail, Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint slides, as well as in HTML, SGML and XML documents.
