DynaTek's new product overcomes write media limitations

DynaTek Automation Systems (Bedford, Nova Scotia, http://www.dynatek.ca

) offers CDE260R (Windows 95 package, $739). The double-speed recording drive combines high-capacity storage with the ability to rewrite media.

With the introduction of the CDE260R, the limitations imposed by write media like CD-R can be overcome by CD-RW discs that let you overwrite data on all standard CD formats. Features of the erasable drive include double-speed recording of CD-RW and CD-R discs; up to 6x-reading speed of CD-RW, CD-R and CD-ROMs; 2-Mb data buffer and 350 ms access time at 6x; support for all popular writing modes; and support from major CD premastering software.
