Call for Speakers
Enterprise Search Summit 2009:
Enabling Information Access

Proposals are now being accepted for the Enterprise Search Summit East 2009, which will be held May 12-13 in New York (pre-conference sessions May 11). The deadline for submitting proposals is November 10, 2008.

Search can no longer be viewed as a stand-alone application. It is increasingly part of everything we do and has become the de facto gateway to information in the enterprise. This year’s Summit will examine the ways to leverage search tools, information architecture, classification, and other strategies and technologies to enable information access. We seek dynamic speakers who can talk knowledgeably about detailed aspects of how to implement and maximize search within an organization.

Proposals should be submitted by Nov. 10 Here

Filling in the SharePoint Document Process Gaps with Advanced Rendering

Enterprise content management (ECM) has become a business-critical application, and while EMC Documentum, IBM FileNet and OpenText have dominated this space historically, Microsoft SharePoint is slowly achieving significant traction as the "ECM for the masses" by reducing the high cost, large footprint and long implementation times often associated with traditional solutions. Best Practices in Analytics for Big Data

GETTING THE "BIG" OUT OF DATA

The overriding problem with information is, of course, there's too much of it. And we're not just talking about the 1s and 0s of databases. There's text and email and social media and voice and video, even, to contend with.

But it's not so much the volume or variety of data that is daunting companies today. It's realizing the usefulness and value that is locked away in those data stores. So enterprising organizations are applying analytics tools to locate, associate and deliver key information sources directly to and from their users' many resources.

Find out how analytics is playing a key role in the thriving big data marketplace.
