When and where is KMWorld & Intranets?

KMWorld & Intranets 2005 will take place November 15-17 at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center located at 150 W. San Carlos St., San Jose, CA 95113, between Almaden Boulevard and Market Street. All official conference and exhibit activities will be held at the convention center. The three-day event is preceded by a day of workshops.

Will there be an Exhibit Hall?

Yes, the KMWorld & Intranets conference is held in conjunction with an Exhibit Hall. View the current exhibitor list.

How much does it cost to attend KMWorld & Intranets?

What does my registration fee include?

The registration fee includes: participation in each conference booked (delegates may switch between the scheduled tracks as they choose); participation in the Content Management track; admission to the Exhibit Hall; conference bag with materials including a copy of the Collected Presentations (presentation papers/handouts); grand opening reception in the Exhibit Hall on Tuesday night; a continental breakfast each morning before the keynote session; and, morning and afternoon refreshment breaks. Pre-conference workshops are priced separately.

How do I register for KMWorld & Intranets?

You may register using our secure payment server, via phone by calling 609/654-6266 or 800/300-9868, or completing and faxing the registration form to 609/654-4309. 

How can I make discounted hotel arrangements?

The KMWorld & Intranets conference has arranged for room blocks at the Hilton San Jose & Towers and the San Jose Marriott. Both hotels are connected to the San Jose McEnery Convention Center. Meeting & Travel Consultants, Inc. (MTC) is the official housing bureau for KMWorld & Intranets 2005. Reservations must be made through MTC. Please do not call the hotels directly. I need to book air travel. What airport should I fly into?

The convention center and hotels are located within 3 miles of the San Jose International Airport, which is serviced by several major airlines. The San Francisco International and Oakland airports are approximately 35 miles north of San Jose.

Will I receive a registration confirmation?

All registrants will receive confirmation of their registration by mail.

Where will the registration area be located in San Jose?

The KMWorld & Intranets registration desk will be located on the concourse level of the convention center (adjacent to the Marriott hotel). Registration hours are as follows:

Monday, November 14 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Tuesday, November 15 from 8:00 a.m. to7:00 p.m.
Wednesday, November 16 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Thursday, November 17 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

What is the dress code for the conference?

The dress code is business casual.

Is there anything that I should bring with me to the conference to be better prepared?

Each attendee will receive a conference bag that includes a pen, final program (with updated session titles, speakers, descriptions, etc), and a copy of the Collected Presentations (presentation papers/handouts). You may wish to bring a pad of paper and highlighter for note taking, and business cards for networking purposes. Some attendees also find it helpful to bring a light sweater or jacket in case session room temperatures fluctuate.

Will the KMWorld & Intranets conference sessions be recorded?

Yes, a CD-Rom is available for purchase through The Digital Record. The CD-Rom features audio and supplemental materials (such as PowerPoint slides) for many of the sessions at KMWorld & Intranets. Digital Record staff will be onsite to take orders and answer questions. Orders are shipped approximately 6 weeks after the event. Workshops are not recorded.

Is parking available?

The convention center parking garage can be accessed via Market Street or Almaden Boulevard. The daily rate is $18. Click here for additional parking information and options, including driving directions.

What restaurants are nearby?

Your hotel concierge is often the best source for recommending nearby restaurants, but this dining guide may also be helpful when researching your options.

How should I arrange for special needs?

Attendees with special needs in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) should inform Information Today, Inc. and the hotel in writing of their needs immediately upon registering for KMWorld & Intranets 2005.

May I tape any portion of the KMWorld & Intranets conference?

Information Today welcomes blog coverage of our conferences. The content of individual talks, presentation graphics, and handouts belongs to the speakers and/or conference organizers and may not be duplicated or distributed in whole or in substantial part, by print, electronic, or any other means, without the express written consent of Information Today, Inc. Written permission is required to publish, broadcast, or otherwise distribute transcripts or audio/video recordings of any talk or session by any means, including "podcasting." Brief excerpts and quotes are permitted in the context of a critical review or broadcast segment. Please link to official transcripts, handouts, or other media objects hosted at the speakers' or Information Today's Web sites.

How do I obtain a press pass?
