Profile

Adlib Software is a leading producer of server-based document conversion, publishing and OCR software. Its products integrate seamlessly other enterprise applications as part of a strategic content management workflow. Adopted by leading Enterprise Content Management vendors as the standard in document rendering, Adlib Express Server products scale to work well in departmental applications right up through to an enterprise-wide document transformation framework service accessible by any automated document workflow. Adlib Software products are used by more than 3000 customers from 45 countries in vertical markets including Life Sciences, Financial Services, Legal, Government and Manufacturing.

Adlib’s Document Transformation Framework (DTF) is at the core of all Express Server applications. This framework makes these applications the world’s most advanced set of server-based document rendering solutions. With DTF, Express Server products are easily integrated with other enterprise applications—seamlessly incorporated into document workflows. In addition to integration responsibilities, DTF also manages document transformation jobs through Fault Monitoring and Recovery (FMR), load balancing, status notifications and job prioritization. It also has built-in redundancy capabilities for mission critical jobs.

Adlib ExpressConversion Server is a server-based application that converts hundreds of different document file types into standard formats such as PDF, PDF/A, PDF/X, RTF, Word, JPEG, TIFF and XPS.

Adlib ExpressRecognition Server is a server-based OCR application that converts images such as JPEG, TIFF, Scans, Faxes and image-only PDFs into searchable text, PDF and PDF/A documents that can be archived and later searched, accessed or repurposed for other activities.

  • Additional ExpressRecognition Functionality
    • Zonal Recognition provides the ability to specifically pinpoint coordinates on a page and perform OCR on that section only, ideal for scanning specific information such as form information.
    • Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) is used to recognize optical marks such as check boxes on forms.
    • Barcode Recognition provides the ability to recognize and interpret bar coding.

Adlib ExpressPublishing Server is a server-based application that automatically stamps documents with headers, footers, page numbers, electronic signatures and watermarks. It also has volumization capabilities to merge multiple documents into one or split a single document into multiple volumes. It also manages Tables of Contents, Hyperlinks, Bookmarks and Indexes.

Adlib ExpressEnterprise contains the functionality of all three Adlib Express Servers as one comprehensive document and transformation application.

Adlib Relay is a dynamic browser-based application that works with Adlib Software’s server based document rendering application—Express Server. Anyone within the enterprise can now convert and publish virtually any document format, including MS Office, Image and CAD Formats to Adobe PDF, MS Word, HTML or Image on demand. Because Relay is designed to work inside a browser, the need for desktop software is eliminated.
