The core technology in CAAT is based on Latent Semantic Indexing, a proven, scalable and well-documented technique that leverages mathematics to derive insight from large data.

CAAT combines a range of analytics capabilities to provide the best alternatives to find relevant knowledge and insight:

Automatic or Dynamic Clustering – CAAT groups similar documents together, even creating a file-tree type of hierarchy. Clustering by concept is the easiest way to get a “handle” on large volumes of unstructured information.
Concept-Based Categorization – CAAT organizes documents into user-defined categories – only information which meets user-defined criteria, based on examples, is placed into appropriate categories, quickly getting to what’s most interesting for that knowledge worker. Categorization is the technology that enables focused review and predictive coding applications.
Conceptual Search - CAAT doesn’t rely on keywords: instead it uses sentences, descriptions, paragraphs – even entire documents – to find other information which is conceptually similar. CAAT’s search capabilities also include keyword and metadata search.
Near-Duplicate Document Detection – CAAT can identify documents which are edits or revisions of other documents – textually “similar,” or it can identify documents which are conceptually similar (nearly the same but beyond just edits) – so knowledge workers can quickly assemble all nearly identical documents into a single entity, and only deal with it once.
Language Identification– CAAT can recognize thirteen languages down to the segment level.
Cross-Lingual Document Analytics – in cross-lingual analytics, CAAT’s own learning capability is used across languages, so CAAT can recognize relevant information in different languages without prior translation.
Email Analytics – with CAAT, this includes email threading, identifying the trail an email has followed, the authors, editors and recipients, and even the longest, “most inclusive” email thread.
Document Summarization – CAAT can summarize a document into the key topics contained in the document.

The CAAT platform contains a robust library of well documented APIs, allowing analytics to be integrated into any application that uses Web Services. CAAT also provides a graphical user interface that drives its most popular capabilities.
