kCura Changes Name to ‘Relativity’

kCura is now Relativity, taking on the name of its e-discovery platform for legal professionals at law firms, corporations, and government agencies.

kCura was founded in 2001 by Andrew Sieja as a software consulting firm. With the success of Relativity, its flagship e-discovery platform, kCura solidified itself as a leader in the e-discovery space. More than 13,000 organizations use Relativity globally, including the U.S. Department of Justice, more than 70 Fortune 100 companies, and 199 of the Am Law 200. 

With one brand, the company says, it will clarify the company's identity and what it does for the more than 160,000 users who rely on the Relativity platform. 

Explaining the reasoning behind combining the two brands into one, Andrew Sieja, founder and CEO of Relativity, said that people in the legal community around the world know the company as Relativity, which is a testament to the great work of its team, partners, and community.

Recent events for Relativity include the release of RelativityOne, its complete e-discovery SaaS solution.

The company also announced plans to hire 200 new team members by 2018, expanding the total workforce to over 800 employees by the end of the year.
