iXOS and IMR Sign OEM Agreement

iXOS (San Mateo, CA) has signed an OEM agreement with Information Management Research (IMR, Englewood, CO) to resell its Jukeman jukebox management software as a storage component with IMR's Alchemy Version 5.0 storage management software. IMR will integrate iXOS' Jukeman into their new Information Storage Server(TM) architecture for Windows NT to address their clients' CD and DVD network jukebox storage needs. The integration is much more than two off-the-shelf products integrated through an API, according to iXOS marketing director Lynn Hogg; the two companies have specifically designed new capabilities to meet market needs. The integration expands Alchemy Version 5.0's virtual storage manager, and will offer users a substantially expanded choice of CD and DVD storage devices. "Not only does the iXOS technology give us the ability to provide one easy-to-use software application for managing the storage and access of diverse data types," said IMR president Robert Drucker, "but it has also given us a technological advantage, a very compelling solution that is extremely affordable."
