XyEnterprise debuts Contenta 4.0

XyEnterprise has released Contenta 4.0, which provides support for Microsoft SQL Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux, as well as Windows Vista Service Pack 1. Contenta also supports Oracle databases, Sun Solaris and Microsoft Windows. Contenta 4.0 includes support upgrades to Oracle 10.2, several Web-based technologies and Autonomy’s IDOL K2 enterprise search software.

The company adds that Contenta 4.0 includes a number of interface improvements that improve user efficiency. Enhancements to the check-out/check-in options for graphics and other binary file types will help users update and manage those object types more efficiently.

XyEnterprise also added a graphical and editable workflow to Contenta Web, a Web-based user interface.
