Xionics' division sold to GammaGraphX
GammaGraphX, a provider of digital and on-demand print technology, has purchased Xionics' Digital Document Products division for unspecified assets and future royalties. The imaging division, including the Seaport Imaging image processing technology purchased a year ago, went on the selling block as part of Xionics' June restructuring, which included a 10% layoff and a $9 million charge. Xionics president and CEO Pete Simone said he is "looking forward to a fast and efficient transition," as well as possible future collaboration with GGX.
