Xerox's one-stop portal shop for info-sharing

Xerox is standardizing on Viador's portal technology for searching, analyzing and distributing business information to its employees via the Web.

Xerox will use Viador's E-Portal business portal technology to give its thousands of employees worldwide direct access to timely, customized information, helping to improve business processes and decision making.

E-Portal will be deployed for Xerox's channel supply tracking, data warehouse access, and reporting for customer service administration, HR/payroll and global service.

With powerful analysis capabilities and seamless connection to back-end information, Viador's E-Portal suite is "an ideal solution for leveraging information throughout all of our worldwide divisions," said James Stranz, Xerox Information Access Technology Manager.

Benefits will come in employee productivity and cost savings: Xerox can now create new reports much faster and at half the previous cost, and can save days in the report distribution process by pointing users to Web.
