Xerox to Bundle Visioneer in DocuPrint Printers
Xerox (Rochester, NY) is now bundling a Visioneer (Fremont, CA) scanner at no cost with the purchase of a DocuPrint printer from certain distributors. A PaperPort 3100 flatbed scanner will be provided free of charge for customers who order a DocuPrint C55 or C55mp color laser printer through Ingram Micro (Santa Ana, CA), Merisel (El Segundo, CA), MicroAge (Tempe, AZ) or Tech Data (Clearwater, FL). Pricing begins at $3,995 for the C55 printer and $4,995 for the C55mp printer. The deal is effective through April 30, 1998. "No other combination of scanner and color printer offers this high level of integration, image quality and ease of use," said Murray Dennis, Visioneer's VP of Sales and Marketing. Kevin Shea, senior VP and GM of Xerox's North American Office Channels division, says the partnership "helps us deliver exceptional value to new customers."
