Xerox technology incorporated in Lanier solution

Image capture technology from Xerox (Rochester, NY,

http://www.xerox.com) is being incorporated in a print-on-demand solution from Lanier Worldwide (Atlanta, http://www.lanier.com). The Xerox DocuImage 620S scanner becomes the image capture component of the Demand Print Series for production environments.

Scanning capabilities range from 200 dpi at 40 ppm to 600 dpi at 20 ppm. Document capture, storage, output and distribution processes benefit from the solution that joins the Xerox scanner with Lanier’s Demand Print Software--operating in a Windows NT environment--and Lanier’s 9060 60 ppm printer. The product integration is scheduled for release during Q4 ’97, with pricing at approximately $150,000.
