Xerox and IDEAL create scan-to-print solution

Xerox (Rochester, NY, http://www.xerox.com) and IDEAL Scanners & Systems (Rockville, MD, http://www.ideal.com) have created a self-contained scan-to-print system for CAD, GIS, engineering and reprographics applications. The ScanCENTRAL consists of a Xerox 8830 large format high speed printer, directly interfaced with IDEAL's Digital Blueprint Machine large format scanner. Optional accessories such as Scan to CAD, Scan to CD-ROM and Scan to Edit are also available. The starting price for the system is under $35,000.
