Workflow-based analytics

Inforsense has released a new version of its business analytics platform, Inforsense 4.0. The company says this edition is the first solution to offer repeatable workflow-based analytics for all SQL-compliant databases including DB2, Microsoft SQLServer and MySQL.

Inforsense is said to quickly and easily embed intelligence into the applications users work with every day, providing them with the information needed at the point of decision. Built on a Web services-enabled, open architecture and leveraging XML, the application can integrate analytical workflows into any environment or process. Its interface provides a programming-free application development environment enabling knowledge workers to create ad-hoc applications easily.

New capabilities in Inforsense 4.0 include:

  • ability to support record-level streaming data for real-time decision making,
  • enhanced portal usability provides the ability to link portal services for building multistage applications, and
  • new workflow scheduler to run tasks on a scheduled basis or on demand.
