West Group Selects Arbortext for SGML and XML Solutions

ArborText (Ann Arbor, MI) has been chosen to provide XML and SGML software for West Group

's (Eagan, MN) document management and publishing system. West Group, an information provider to the legal marketplace, will use ArborText's ADEPT Editor with its new SGML- and XML-based document andinformation repository. The system will manage content from West Group's 4,000 primary and secondary law products in print, CD-ROM and online. "ADEPT was tested against a short list of competitors with a lengthy list of requirements," said Chris Wolff, West Group's VP of publishing technology, "and it continually came out on top." The system will be deployed to West Group's Editorial and Editorial Support staff in locations across the country.
