With the HIMSS '98 conference in Orlando as a backdrop,

Wang Healthcare Information Systems (Billerica, MA) has announced several enhancements to its Physicians' Workstation Suite (PWS). New features include a forms builder module for managing patient information; a managed care database for compliance and decision support; and an enhanced 5-tiered architecture. The redesigned PWS enables practices to build and customize electronic forms and collect, analyze and maintain patient information and healthcare procedures. The system is designed "to help physicians expedite quality patient care, remain current with the dynamics and compliance demands of managed care, and support the growth objectives of their practice group," said Dr. Bruce Ryan, president and CEO of WHIS.
