Wang Posts Q2 '98 Results
Wang (Billerica, MA) reports Q2 '98 revenue of $338.9 million, down from $342.4 million in Q2 '97. A net income of $12.4 million compares with a Q2 '97 net income of $4.5 million. US and other traditional revenues from Wang's installed base were down 25% from Q2 '97, due in part to changes in foreigh exchange rates. Wang's core Network Services revenues grew by 15 percent. During the quarter Wang signed contracts with Novartis Pharmaceuticals, ARCO Products Company, the State of Indiana's Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program, and the J. Paul Getty Center.
