Verity strengthens its position

With customers such as The National Association for Securities Dealers (NASD) and Congressional Quarterly, Verity is well positioned to serve the large enterprise. In fact, says Verity senior VP Ashok Chandra, more than 950 enterprises use its corporate portal, and the company has captured 25% of the market. Verity is aggressively capturing and even larger sharer with its newest offering, Portal One.

Chandra explains that information multiplies exponentially every day--the amount of data in civilization tops the 2.5 billion gigabyte mark, he claims--and Verity Portal one provides a new solution to the business information access problem. “Portal One is built upon next-generation Verity technology,” he says, “and provides comprehensive and unified access to enterprise Internet data sources, from Web browsers or handheld devices, and from many locations formats and structures."

“Many portal products on the market today are only skin deep, providing a thin HTML-veneer on existing applications. Our portal provides a comprehensive solution, allowing enterprises to enhance productivity and yield true cost saving.”

Verity has enhanced Portal One’s five cornerstone capabilities: personalization; search, navigate and view; unified access; intelligent classification; and enterprise strength and scalability. Further, says Chandra, it has enhanced security by respecting the native security of existing applications, and improved scalability with new architecture.

Verity offers consulting and integration services to the support the development and delivery of its portal.

Pricing for Verity Portal One begins at $65,000 and includes a 250-user license.
