Unveiling InfoToday 2001

Information Today (ITI), the parent company of KMWorld, announces the launch of InfoToday 2001, the global conference and exhibition on electronic information and knowledge management.

InfoToday 2001 will take the place of the National Online Meeting and will include expanded coverage of the electronic information industry and knowledge management. The dates of the conference and exhibition, which will be held at the New York Hilton & Towers, are May 15-17, 2001.

For 22 years, the National Online Meeting has held the position as the conference and exhibition showcasing the latest developments in the online industry. Now it will become a part of a larger event that will feature three simultaneous conferences: National Online 2001, KnowledgeNets 2001 and E-Libraries 2001.

These conferences are designed to stand alone, but they are also meant to highlight the common interests of those involved in these three fields. With something of interest for all levels and job functions, this event is a must for anyone concerned with both information and knowledge, their distribution, and their value in decision making.

Tom Hogan, president of Information Today Inc., says, "The reason for the change is simple. KMWorld 2001, Information Today’s other KM event, will be held Oct. 30 through Nov. 1 at the Santa Clara Convention center in California.

National Online 2001 will continue its focus on information content as well as on information delivery technologies. It will bring together a stimulating blend of information industry innovators and practitioners from around the world.

KnowledgeNets 2001 will provide complete coverage of knowledge management and its applications within today's organization. It will include practical programs and case studies on the theories, practices, processes, tools and solutions for enterprise knowledge networks.

E-Libraries 2001 will cater to the needs of library managers and technology specialists and will cover the latest developments in library systems and services. This conference focuses specifically on the distribution and management of information through corporate, academic and public libraries and information centers.

Each day, InfoToday 2001 will offer attendees a choice of sessions on a variety of topics within the three concurrent conferences. This will amount to six simultaneous tracks during the main conference days. Also included are keynotes by industry leaders, pre- and post-conference seminars, the Electronic Publishing seminar and more.

InfoToday 2001 has been designed to provide the most comprehensive professional education opportunity available in the world of electronic information and knowledge management.

In the InfoToday 2001 exhibit hall, over 100 exhibiting companies will be displaying the latest in search engines, online and Internet databases, KM products and services, and much more.
