Unisys installs InfoImage at EMC

Unisys (Blue Bell, PA, http://www.unisys.com) has installed InfoImage, a Windows NT-based imaging and workflow solution, in the personal lines underwriting department of EMC Insurance Companies (Des Moines, Iowa). The implementation of InfoImage by Unisys followed an analysis of EMC's procedure for handling 84,000 insurance policies. The system is expected to retrieve 4,500 documents each day allowing users to deal with more than 250 service calls daily. InfoImage will also enable the scanning, processing, indexing and filing of over 1,100 new documents each day.
