Ultimus and FreeBalance partner

In a deal designed to blend the benefits of workflow automation with Web-based government grants management, Ultimus and FreeBalance have formed a partnership to eliminate paper-based systems by integrating the Ultimus Workflow Suite with FreeBalance's eGrants software.

The new solution, FreeBalance eGrants 2.0, has a Web-based front end to enable online applications, a workflow automation component to eliminate paper, an interface to the financial system to record budget commitments, allocate funds and schedule milestone payments and a post-award analysis and monitoring tool to enable program managers to ensure that the goals of the program are being met.

Other FreeBalance/Ultimus collaborations are expected shortly.
