U.S. Robotics shows increase from Q1 '96

U.S. Robotics (Skokie, IL, Nasdaq: USRX) reports Q1 '97 revenue of $645.4 million, a 77% increase from Q1 '96 figure of $364.8 million. Net earnings of $69.0 million compare with $41.6 million in Q1 '96, an increase of 66%. Higher revenues and earnings are attributed primarily to an 80% growth in unit sales of PC-related products. International sales increased 25% from Q1 '96 to $193.5 million.
