Tympani and Versant Integrate ODBMS with Atlas Server

Tympani Development (Sunnyvale, CA) and Versant (Fremont, CA) have agreed to integrate object database management technology into Tympani's Atlas Server. Versant's ODBMS system will be used as a data repository for the server, which offers data retrieval, search and filtering, and collaborative technologies for corporate intranets. "Tympani's implementation can extend our object database capabilities to the intranet in a direct way," said Versant VP of Marketing Ron Kopeck. The ODBMS technology gives the Atlas server "a robust object-store mechanism and excellent scalability," added Tympani president Antonio Dias.
