Tying the knot

Vignette has released its V6 Portlet Library for the Epicentric Foundation Server. The offering is said to enable joint customers to integrate and easily access Vignette-managed content across multiple Web sites and portals through the server’s user interface.

The library, says Vignette, includes a set of content management and delivery portlets that facilitate content contribution, workflow and site and channel management from Vignette V6 to the Epicentric portal. In addition, the offering employs Epicentric Foundation Server security, customization and administration tools within Vignette V6.

The companies say the portlet library is designed to help enterprises more efficiently manage portals and improve productivity by enabling users to access Vignette V6 without having to leave the context of Epicentric Foundation Server.

EDS, a strategic partner of both companies, participated in the development of the new software.
