TiS Wins South African Contract

Top Image Systems (TiS, Ramat Gan, Israel) has received a contract to provide forms processing solutions to a South African life insurance company. TiS will provide its AFPSPro automated forms processing system for the South African National Life Assurance Company (Sanlam)'s document capture project. The deal, worth about $800,000, includes streamlining and updating Sanlam's policyholders' database and automating Sanlam's overall data entry and forms processing activities. Phase one of the project, set to begin by mid-March, calls for TiS to update the organization's database, which will include scanning in approximately 1.8 million forms within one month. The second phase calls for TiS to install AFPSPro in Sanlam's Capetown headquarters, where all the company's branch offices will transfer hundreds of thousands of paper documents each month. Sanlam chose AFPSPro for its rapid application development environment, throughput capabilities and open interface, according to Sanlam senior project manager Bernard Mouton. "Moreover, we were impressed by the TiS-Exsol team's professionalism and technical skills."
