Said to be an easy-to-implement interface to multiple applications and sources of information, the Sybase Enterprise Portal--Express Edition 2.0 reportedly streamlines the implementation of complete departmental or corporate portal initiatives.

Sybase says the new offering provides a comprehensive presentation layer for navigation, content management and personalization and includes pre-built portlets for content feeds and searches. Additional new elements include pre-built support for search, categorization and personalization, as well as a robust security framework and single sign-on support. The company adds that Express Edition 2.0’s architecture facilitates adding advanced capabilities as requirements change and evolve.
