80-20 Software has released a Plumtree Corporate Portal Gadget for its personal search product, 80-20 Retriever, Version 2.6 of which has also been announced.

Retriever is a personal search product that delivers search of Microsoft Outlook folders and local and network file systems. The new Plumtree Gadget allows Plumtree users to full text search all mail, attachments and files, including archives.

Also new in Version 2.6 of Retriever:

• a wizard for setting index folders and update schedule,

• support for Outlook 2002 in Office XP,

• support for Windows Millennium Edition and Windows XP,

• enhanced proximity and Boolean search language,

• UNC paths supported for indexing My Documents and

• administrator installation for network-connected computers.

  The 80-20 Retriever Plumtree Gadget is included free of charge for corporate licenses of 80-20 Retriever and is available now. The Plumtree Gadget requires Version 2.6. Retriever 2.6 is available for download at $49.95 per copy; upgrades from Version 2.5 are free.
