Targeting KM and e-learning

Hyperwave and Autonomy announced an extended OEM partnership to develop mutual prospects in the knowledge management and e-learning.

The deal call for the two companies to recommend each others technologies and work together to deliver the collaborative benefits of Hyperwave’s eKnowledge solutions and Autonomy’s infrastructure technology, the companies say, adding that they will support each other's marketing efforts.

Autonomy's software analyzes text, voice and video in any language and can identify and rank the main concepts within them. It can then automatically categorize, link, personalize and deliver relevant information across multiple devices. The technology is used to automate these operations within the eKnowledge Infrastructure, says Autonomy.

Hyperwave says eKnowledge Infrastructure, which was launched last year, provides a single knowledge management and e-learning platform combining document management, content management, workflow, information retrieval and e-learning.

The two firms say that Autonomy inside Hyperwave enables faster and more accurate data retrieval using agents, and through Autonomy’s highly scalable categorization, content is placed in the right location automatically.
