Surfnotes takes on sea of content

With namesake software designed for PC and wireless devices, Surfnotes employs AI to identify, extract and categorize the key points from within Web pages and documents. It’s currently offered as an enterprise solution, targeting the business and financial communities.

The result of over five years of dedicated artificial intelligence research, technology mimics human judgment when scanning text, the company says, enabling users to access and view vast amounts of information quickly. The Surfnotes approach goes beyond a summary, identifying and extracting essential sentences that collectively form a fact-based overview. The software scans the document and chooses only the most important sentences, key facts and figures, feeding them into specific categories.

Says Scott Hirsch, Surfnotes founder and CEO, “Our technology automatically distinguishes and scores elements on a page, including all text, links and sentences, bringing the most critical information to the user.”
