Supply chain management for .Net

Webplan is developing a supply chain solution on the Microsoft .Net platform.

Webplan explains that .Net provides an XML interface to the Webplan CeO platform. The company says that arrangement permits applications and servers on any vendor platform to take advantage of Webplan solutions based on Webplan CeO technology, such as real-time adaptive planning and trading partner collaboration, over the Internet. The new XML interface will be offered as a component of the Webplan Stream Server, which uses the capabilities of the Microsoft BizTalk Server 2000 and SQL Server 2000 to provide B2B transactions services for Webplan Ce, the company says.

Webplan adds that .NET will enable it to provide more rapid deployment of powerful solutions to manufacturing customers. The separation of business logic from presentation in ASP.Net will also reduce the effort required to upgrade customers with tailored Web applications.
