Stroz Friedberg Improves E-Discovery and Disclosure Managed Services Platform
Stroz Friedberg's electronic discovery and disclosure business has made enhancements to its managed services solution, a platform that manages and automates legal discovery projects across the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM).
The newly released managed services solution integrates tracking legal hold and data collections efforts to the existing data processing, review and budget forecasting capabilities, bringing together the full spectrum of the EDRM process.
In-house and outside counsel must deal with disparate point technologies, service offerings, and datasets, which can lead to unpredictable costs, missed deadlines, and critical mistakes, according to Stephen Whetstone, executive managing director and leader of Stroz Friedberg's Electronic Discovery and Disclosure practice. The managed services offering aims to address these issues by tracking client project data and spend across EDRM stages and technologies in real time.
According to Stroz Friedberg, the new legal hold capability, enabled through a partnership with Zapproved's Legal Hold Pro, improves the ability of in-house and external legal teams to identify and preserve data through automating legal hold notification, collection request tracking, and terminated employee data preservation. The new collections capability leverages Stroz Friedberg's existing expertise in digital forensics, and provides clients with the early insight into data volumes and cost forecasts for a forensics project, tracking both Stroz Friedberg-conducted collections activities and external forensic efforts. The collections dashboard provides detailed data metrics and coordinated infographics by project and custodian, and unifies that critical information with prior preservation and subsequent processing and review efforts.
