Sterling Commerce Releases New EC Software for Manufacturing and Retail

Electronic commerce software vendor Sterling Commerce (Columbus, OH) has unveiled a new version of its Commerce:Catalog for Windows Universal Product Code (UPC) database access product. The new version of Commerce:Catalog includes international capabilities with more than 150 different currency types. It also allows manufacturers to provide specific dimensions of products and cases. "With electronic trading reaching far beyond domestic borders, the ability to store foreign currency information within a central database is significant for many retailers and manufacturers," said Jim Crossley, VP of industry sales for Sterling Commerce's Commerce Business Division. Companies using Commerce:Catalog include File USA and Modell's Sporting Goods. Pricing for Commerce:Catalog for manufacturers is $300 for a one time set-up fee, and monthly fees based on the number of UPC numbers stored. Fees for retailers are based on online access time and the number of UPC numbers retrieved.
