Standard Register to resell Neomedia's SecureDocs

Standard Register (Dayton, OH) has agreed to resell Neomedia's (Fort Myers, FL) SecureDocs products. "NeoMedia's marketing strategy for Intelligent Documents has been to identify a leader in a specific industry and to partner with that leader," said Neomedia president and CEO Charles Fritz. The combination of their Intelligent Documents technology with Standard Register's document management and production prowess (largely through the 1997 acquisition of UARCO) creates "a strategically important channel of distribution for our products." The deal complements Standard Register's Automated Identification Systems unit, which offers application software, bar-code printers, radio frequency terminals and scanners, and pressure sensitive labels for tracking and inventory control. "We believe this partnership will create some exciting new products that will have a major impact on how printed forms are viewed in the future," commented Lou DiDomenico, national sales manager for Standard Register's Automated Identification Systems team.
