Socialtext adds gamification and behavior management

Socialtext has announced an agreement with Badgeville to integrate gamification capabilities into applications, widgets, mobile solutions, etc., in the Socialtext platform. Socialtext will use Badgeville Embed to boost its overall user experience and increase engagement while better understanding user behavior.

Socialtext pursued the partnership to accelerate its delivery of advanced, customized reward systems. The alliance also will allow Socialtext to provide an innovative functionality to layer game, reputation and social mechanics (similar to those utilized by Facebook and social games) on top of its solutions. The goal for product professionals, says Socialtext, is to drive, influence and reward valuable user behaviors across their applications that encourage more repeat visits and overall customer retention.
