SiteScape unwraps new collaboration architecture

SiteScape has developed a collaboration architecture that allows customers to choose the product or service that best fits their business situation. The company has also introduced SiteScape Enterprise Forum and released SiteScape Forum 5.1. Both products include support for Oracle’s E-Business Portal, Plumtree’s Corporate Portal and Viador’s E-Portal Suite.

Says Timothy Butler, SiteScape’s president and CEO, “Our architecture allows collaboration to happen in new environments with the ultimate achievement being collaboration that is delivered anywhere, any time.”

SiteScape Forum 5.1 is an entry-level collaboration product for small teams and organizations. SiteScape Enterprise Forum 5.1 helps create a collaboration environment for large or complex organizations.

Forum 5.1 is geared toward small groups or departments. Users can host online discussions; share and revise documents and files; chat; schedule meetings using shared calendars; maintain personal home pages that include lists of favorite links; and review select and filtered information from news sources and Internet news groups. Web-based, it requires only an industry-standard browser to access, and runs on a broad range of platforms. Forum is available in five languages: Dutch, English, French, German and Spanish. Enterprise Forum 5.1 is designed for Global 2000 companies and includes all the collaboration features of Forum, plus extensive administrative capabilities to make the management of large forums easier, according to SiteScape.

The company also plans to offer a hosted collaboration service.

Enterprise Forum 5.1 is priced on a user-based licensing structure. Forum 5.1 is $6,995 (US) per CPU license.
