Siemens ElectroCom acquires ElectroCom Imaging

Siemens ElectroCom’s (Arlington, TX) acquisition of ElectroCom Imaging

(Arlington, TX) has been finalized. The company will operate in the imaging marketplace as a business unit under Siemens ElectroCom L.P. and continue to focus on commercial imaging products and services. Siemens ElectroCom maintains marketing responsibilities for the IntelliScan 120/240 family of scanners and integrated ICR/OCR recognition engines, AEG Recognition and IntelliDoc Pro. Siemens ElectroCom L.P., specializing in postal automation systems, will add to the depth of automation technology available to Siemens ElectroCom customers, reports Jeff Gilb, VP of the imaging products group.

"The folks that our customers have known as ElectroCom Imaging will now be calling on them as Siemens ElectroCom," said VP Paz Kahana. "We expect to benefit from the Siemens ownership because over time it will be possible to leverage the vast Siemens resources."
