Serving enterprise search

The newest version of Verity Ultraseek, V 5.2 includes five new features designed to enhance the user experience and facilitate integration into other application environments.

They are:

Simplified integration with Web services. The interface ensures that Verity Ultraseek, which supports both .Net and J2EE platforms, can integrate with virtually any enterprise application to bring the full capabilities of the enterprise search engine to an organization’s complete business software array.

Portal integration. Existing portal, content management and other applications based on BEA, Vignette, Tibco or IBM WebSphere can now have search capabilities added quickly and easily with new pre-built Verity portlets.

Easy migration to VIS. For those organizations using the Verity Information Server (VIS) software, Ultraseek’s new Upgrade Wizard provides an easy migration path and the insinuation of the search engine into their intellectual capital management systems.

Strengthened indexing. JavaScript spidering capabilities have been added to Ultraseek’s adaptive spider indexes, which can turn the myriad of document types and file formats spread across the typical enterprise into a single body of intellectual capital that is searchable with a single query.

Expanded document highlighting. Ultraseek’s ability to automatically highlight query terms within documents has been expanded to include formats such as Microsoft Word and Excel through inclusion of Verity KeyView Export.
