Self-service application integration from Kapow

Kapow Software has unveiled the latest version of its Katalyst platform, which it says enables integration of any application or data source without coding or APIs. The company says Kapow Katalyst 9.0 features Kapow Kapplets, giving business users the ability to control, manage and run custom integrations, workflows and big data queries. Other highlights of Version 9.0 include Hadoop connectivity, Cloudera certification and a big data partnership with Informatica.

Kapplets are made available to workers through an app icon that can be clicked on to run and manage the automated workflow, thereby extending the Kapow self-service platform to line-of-business employees, the company says. It adds that this new capability enables employees, customers and partners to run, access, and control the automation and integration of disparate systems and data sources.

Further, says Kapow, Katalyst 9.0 provides a number of data storage options and processing flexibility for big data projects. It includes a Hadoop custom-built connector, an Informatica PowerExchange for Kapow Katalyst Adaptor and partner certification for Cloudera’s Distribution including Apache Hadoop (CDH4). The software platform includes a dedicated tool for automating the interface that extracts information and loads it to big data frameworks.
