Seeing much clearer now

As part of its value-added strategy, SER has formed a partnership with Optika, an enterprise content management provider of imaging, workflow, collaboration and records management software. The alliance will enable Optika to leverage SERdistiller, SER’s Intelligent Document Recognition (IDR) solution, to help its customers replace the manual effort required to classify and index documents that go into Optika’s Acorde ECM system.

“Our partnership with SER enables us to deliver much needed functionality to our clients, allowing them to significantly reduce operating costs by streamlining business processes and optimizing resource requirements,” said Mark K. Ruport, president, CEO and chairman of Optika. “In today’s fast paced global market, every opportunity to reduce costs and improve workplace productivity can effectively set an organization apart from its competition.”

SER claims SERdistiller is an alternative to traditional solutions for capturing business information from paper-based documents, such as manual data entry or forms processing technologies, and enables companies to solve the costly bottlenecks associated with information capture and data entry. The solution ensures the analysis, recognition and sorting of incoming documents based upon the actual content of the document, independent of data field location or form layout. With IDR functionality, SERdistiller allows users to process both structured and unstructured documents with a single solution. The captured data can be seamlessly integrated with Acorde Context for document storage or Acorde Process to continue the automation of the business process
