See the forest and the trees

With its interactive knowledge extraction and delivery software, ClearForest introduces a new Web-based interactive business intelligence application. ClearSight has been designed to enable Fortune 500 companies and major financial institutions to gain understanding and receive updates across numerous information sources.

ClearSight's semantic, rules-based technology reads and analyzes text from internal sources such as e-mail and company documents, and external sources, such as news wires. The software is said to extract only the information relevant to the users' needs and displays it in a variety of visual forms with which the user can interact. The company says ClearSight can assimilate text and data of indefinite size, identify key terms, understand context and determine interrelationships. ClearForest offers ClearSight as an ASP.

Says Barak Pridor, CEO of ClearForest, "Essentially, our technology reads and understands any given news or information source and then provides visual, interactive executive summaries of the information that is relevant to the specific user."

ClearForest also offers ClearEvents, an application that allows customers to keep abreast of events occurring in the market by automatically identifying business events from news feeds. ClearResearch, the company’s analysis product, targets large corporations and financial institutions with knowledge-intensive research requirements. It’s currently licensed on a client-server basis.

ClearStudio rounds out the product suite as an environment for adapting the technology for specific vertical markets and customizing existing ones. It is available to enterprise clients, value-added resellers and professional service partners and is licensed on a per-seat basis.
