Scudder invests in personalization

Underscoring the rapid convergence of personalized e-commerce and enterprise content management, Scudder Kemper Investments, Inc., a $230 billion global investment management firm, has announced the launch of its new Personal Investment Organizer, offering a full range of customizable on-line asset management capabilities for clients and shareholders.

Scudder has chosen Art Technology Group's (ATG's) Dynamo Relationship Commerce suite to provide a scaleable Web-centric personalization server and e-commerce capability. Full integration between ATG and Documentum's Enterprise Document Management System 98 (EDMS 98) effectively delivers the benefits of powerful enterprise-level content management to the end user.

Jeet Singh, President and CEO of ATG, said that "Combining the personalization capabilities of Dynamo with Documentum EDMS 98 allows our customers to manage the content creation, tagging and indexing process on an enterprise level. This is critical for delivering a truly scaleable and maintainable personalized site."

Documentum's vice president of platform marketing, Matt Shanahan, adds that the alliance allows customers to "accelerate their business by automating the processes that ensure content integrity, reuse and customization to match individual customer needs."
