Scan-Optics contracts with Highland Technologies and Newbridge Communications

Scan-Optics (Manchester, CT, http://www.scanoptics.com

) has partnered with Highland Technologies (Lantham, MD, http://www.htech.com) to create a customizable Windows-based product suite. The development of the suite will involve adding new elements to the HighView ST client-server, imaging and document management system. Those include a Scan-Optics/HighView gateway that will transform multi-image TIFF files scanned by a Scan-Optics scanner into single image TIFF files. The files will be stored in SQL databases such as Oracle, Sybase or Microsoft SQL server. Scan-Optics will become a certified Highland master reseller.

In another contract, Newbridge Communications (New York), a division of KIII Education Group, has ordered a Series 9000/Textware System from Scan-Optics. The Series 9000 will be installed in the company's Delran, NJ, plant to automate the order fulfillment process.
