Say oui and ja to knowledge

Tacit Knowledge Systems has released KnowledgeMail 3.0, the latest version of its flagship software.

Version 3.0 introduces new capabilities for expertise discovery and search in English, French and German, says Tacit. The release also supports expertise discovery from very large documents or files, includes revisions for Section 508 compliance to meet standards required by U.S. federal government customers.

Tacit explains that KnowledgeMail taps into enterprise data stores such as e-mail archives and document repositories to look for clues about the expertise, experience and work activities of its employees. The system then allows workers to locate and connect to colleagues with relevant experience in real time. The system includes mechanisms specifically designed to make the expertise discovery process automatic while strictly guarding individual privacy.
